Out of the box, my initial impressions of the Mountain Mods Twice7 Aluminum Cube Computer Case were extremely positive. On the design front, all the elements that contributed to the success of the first and second generation U2-UFO Aluminum Cube Computer Case have been adapted into this LAN style enclosure. The Twice7 features a fantastic black power coat finish that is aesthetically pleasing to the eye and is accented with subtle chrome highlights and three Lexan windows on the left, right and top of the case. The Twice7 is much smaller than its larger sibling measuring approximately 14" (H) x 14" (W) x 14" (D) and weighting only 10.5 lbs. The case is custom manufactured using 2mm thick aluminum alloy and supports all Micro ATX, Full ATX and Extended ATX motherboard formats. The front portion of the case is very stylish with a great futuristic type look that is replicated from the top portion of the bezel to the bottom. Surprisingly, the Twice7 does not come equipped with the 4 caster wheels like the original U2-UFO package.

Towards the top left portion of the case are the chrome LED placements for Power and HD as well as an oversized Power and Reset button. The buttons are nickel plated Anti-vandal switches that are of high quality. The two switches and LED holders are wired from inside the case using standard 2-pin headers. The 2-pin headers are not labeled but connecting these switches to the appropriate motherboard headers should not be a problem.

Towards the top right side portion of the case are three external 5.25" drive bays and if you look closely you'll notice that 3.5" external drive bays are absent from this configuration. The drive bay area is completely removable via four thumbscrews and simplifies the process of installing 5.25" based components.
