The Kingwin KT-436BK-WM Aluminum Case includes what is now a new trend amongst case manufacturers, the inclusion of a pre-modified window design. The KT-436BK-WM is the first to my knowledge to incorporate a triple window design on the top, left and right side panels as a stock option. The windows utilize a series of small mounting screws to support a sheet of clear acrylic on each panel.

The top mount window has been centered on the panel and extends from the rear portion of the case to the front portion. A series of 8 screws keep the acrylic panel stationary while an 80mm fan has been positioned in the middle as a top exhaust mount. Kingwin has pre-drilled a series of ventilation holes to assist the fan with any removing trapped hot air. The ventilation holes cover the circumference of the fan and should not hamper air circulation. The top mount 80mm fan is actually a 12V quad LED ball bearing fan which is powered by a standard 4-pin molex connector.

A closer examination of the left side panel window reveals how the acrylic window is kept in place. The screws extend from the outside to the inside panel of the window, but have been covered with plastic mounts to prevent the sharp ends from causing any damage. This solution works quite well and after tugging on the window, I can confirm that it is secured very well to the side panel.
